Following on from the recent problems accessing Echo360 lecture recordings using the Safari browser. Echo360 have been looking into the this and have narrowed the issue down to a bug in the current version of Safari.

The bug appears to have been fixed in the latest Safari Technology Preview (13.2), available to download here: https://developer.apple.com/safari/download/

The particular fix is listed in the release notes: "Fixed document.cookie to not do a sync IPC to the network process for iframes that do not have storage access" :- https://developer.apple.com/safari/technology-preview/release-notes/

Initial indications that the issue is resolved in 13.2 are promising.

Please be aware that Safari 13.2 is currently in beta. Whilst it is believed that this will resolve the Echo login issues with Safari the issues can also be resolved by using another browser e.g. Chrome.

Should you decide to download Safari 13.2 beta, the RVC take no responsibility for any issues that this may cause.

For those who wish to wait please use Chrome as a temporary fix for the issues until Safari 13.2 is publicly released.
