On Wednesday 24th July, RVC Learn will be upgraded to version 2.4.  Whilst the work is being carried out, all staff and students will have access to a read-only copy of Learn, meaning all courses will be accessible, and it will still be possible to access echo360 recordings and download course material.  It will not be possible to update or edit any content during the upgrade.

The upgrade is expected to last for 1 day, meaning that RVC Learn should be fully operational on Friday 26th July.

There are numerous benefits with the 2.4 upgrade including:

  •  Improved user interface – including a new tablet friendly icon set
  • Greater control of courses – including new course designs
  • Ability to segment courses, allowing access to different sections for different students
  • Drag and Drop file upload – drag files from your desktop straight into your course
  • Integration of external calendars – such as Google and iCal calendars
  • More plugins – meaning more functionality
  • Improved backend database architecture – meaning faster access

A full training programme will be announced shortly, which will include all the new functionality and refresher courses for those who haven’t used RVC Learn for a while.  All video and paper based guides will be updated over the summer months.
