The intended use of the U and V drives is to act as temporary transfer drives for those wishing to share non – confidential documents with others. The U and V drives are not for document retention, for this purpose, we recommend securely storage in your home (H) drive.
As the purpose of the U and V drives is short term storage only and in order to comply with data guidelines, from the 1st August, these drives will be wiped every 2 working days. Staff and students are reminded that anything shared on these drives will be visible to both staff and students and therefore, must not be used for any files containing personal data or otherwise sensitive information.
