Dear All,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students who applied for the new Student Learning Technologist Role. The deadline for applications has now passed, and after an extensive selection process, I am pleased to announce that the following individuals have been successful:
BVetMed Year 1 Harriette Smart
BVetMed Year 2 Louise Dunsby
BVetMed Year 3 Clare Parker
BVetMed Year 4 Rebecca Fernandes
Gateway Callum Hutchinson
Advanced BVetMed (G+T) Elyssa Hawkins
BioVetSci Year 1 Serena Shum
BioVetSci Year 2 Nicole Pullen
Twitter Co-ordinator Jason Deakin
SLT Co-ordinator Emily Stacey
The Student Learning Technologists will assist with lecture capture, testing resources, developing new applications and using social media such as twitter.
The SLTs will not only inspire their year cohorts on how to use digital technology but will also help feedback suggestions and concerns from students about how staff can enhance the RVC digital learning experience.
In order to promote wider awareness of digital literacy, we expect that the SLTs will make up the core of a new “Technology Club”. The initial plan is to host meetings on both campuses as a lunch time session to get both the student and staff view on the key priorities and projects that this club might develop. More information regarding the technology club will be released shortly.
The RVC Learn Team and the Student Learning Technologists are here to help you with all aspects of learning technology used at the RVC, If you have any questions or comments regarding the Student Learning Technologists, Learning Technology or RVC Learn please do not hesitate to contact the SLT Co-ordinator, Emily Stacey (estacey1@rvc.ac.uk) , Alistair Spark (aspark@rvc.ac.uk) or Ben Audsley (baudsley@rvc.ac.uk).
Kind Regards
Ben Audsley
