Echo360's Universal Capture is now in general availability for both Mac and Windows and it offers significant improvements over the capture applications it replaces, Echo360 Classroom Capture and Echo360 Personal Capture.

Universal capture is:

  • Easy and intuitive
  • The same application interface on Mac and PC
  • A single application for personal screen recording and lecture capture

After a thorough beta process and the general availability release for Mac last year, Universal Capture for Windows is now ready to replace your Classroom Capture and Personal Capture installs. There are already over 120 institutions using Universal Capture, so join the movement and install it today. Universal Capture is available for download by instructors and admins today and there will be an option to enable student downloads in a future release.

Here are three things you can do to get started with Universal Capture now:

  1. Replace existing Classroom Capture installs with Universal Capture
  2. Install Universal Capture in classrooms with podium Macs (yes, Macs!)
  3. Send this video to your instructors and encourage them to replace their Personal Capture installs with Universal Capture

As always, if you have any questions about how to get started, contact the Digital Learning team.
